Developing Lumbini College through 7 phases of Online Education, with a great commitment and enthusiasm, made Lumbini a center of education not only for our school but for any child in Sri Lankan school system. The school teachers, non-academic staff, parents and children who working hard during the covid 19 is a well-known fact for this.
First Stage: Started from March 2020 (8.00 am to 4.00 pm) all grades from grade 1 to grade 13 were taught using social media such as sms, whatsapp, telegram viber, fb etc.
Second Stage: Initiation of Zoom, Google meeting as Online Education tools for GCE (O / L) 10,11 and GCE (A / L) 12,13.
Third Stage: Launch of a YouTube channel, FB page and a web page for the education of the children.
Fourth Stage: Under the theme 'Education for all’, provide education to all children by sending hard copies to the children who do not have online facilities by contacting the parents of the class
Fifth Stage: When the country is partially open, teaching time were scheduled as below with the theme "Let's learn with parents!" due to the absence of parents at home during the day. Grades 1-5 from 6.00pm-9.00pm, grades 6-11 from 6.00pm-11.00 pm and grades 12-13 from 5.00pm to 11.00pm
Sixth Stage: Developing and implementing a system for supervising and regulating, formalizing the method of providing online link by verifying the identity of students.
Seventh Stage: Teachers were empowered to conduct online tests, online forms were prepared accordingly, and for the first time in Sri Lanka, all activities such as online examinations, online paper marking, online marks uploading were conducted before 31st December 2020.
In addition on facilitating poor children, facilitating teachers and activating smart classrooms, we also organized AL technology online practicals, online practical in aesthetic subjects and also children's programs for Vesak, Poson, Christmas day, school day and even competitions. We are happy with the children.

Principal's Message
As the principal of Lumbini College, with a great pride, I would like to convey that Lumbini College is on the lead through the academic as well as non-academic performances.
Having started in 1929, Lumbini College is ready to celebrate its 91st Anniversary this year. I salute her for producing thousands of successful personalities to the country. She has gained the fame and well being through her highly admirable performances.
I am not hesitant to acknowledge and express my gratitude to the past principals for their dedication and leadership towards achieving the mission of Lumbini College.
It is my great pleasure to see my priority, the students, get maximum opportunities which they are offered at the school to climb up the ladder of success. As well as the academic achievements, I am highly concerned with disciplinary matters, so that I can assure a set of well disciplined youths are released from the school to the society each year.
